Our Beliefs
What We Believe
#1 On the Scriptures
We believe that the Bible, which includes the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant, and trustworthy Word of God. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, the authors of the Bible wrote these sacred texts, making them fully authoritative for teaching, correcting, and training in righteousness. For followers of Jesus Christ, the Bible stands alone as the ultimate guide for faith and life.

#2 On the Triune Godhead
We believe in one God who exists eternally as three co-equal and co-eternal Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This Triune God is infinite in perfect being, wisdom, power, holiness, love, justice, goodness, and truth. United in sublime harmony, they desire a close relationship with us and wish for us to live fulfilling lives that honor their name.

#3 On God the Father
God the Father, the first Person of the Trinity, is the Creator who brought the universe into existence through His Word. All of creation owes its existence and sustenance to His power and sovereign decrees, which are unchangeable. As the King over all, He faithfully upholds His covenants and works everything according to His wise and unchanging purposes for the benefit of those who love Him. With infinite power, knowledge, and love, the Father graciously gave His only Son so that a world lost in sin could be redeemed and saved through Him.

#4 On Jesus Christ the Son
Jesus Christ is the Second Person of the eternal Godhead who became human, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He is both fully God and fully man, possessing two complete and distinct natures in one Person. During His time on earth, Jesus lived a sinless life, taught with authority, and performed miraculous signs. His sacrificial death on the cross served as the once-and-for-all atonement, fully satisfying God's righteous demand for sinners. Christ's literal bodily resurrection from the dead is a historical fact and our eternal hope. He currently reigns at the right hand of the Father and will return bodily to establish His kingdom and reign as Lord forever.

#5 On the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is the Third Person of the Triune Godhead, eternally co-equal with the Father and the Son. Acting as the supernatural agent in salvation, the Spirit revives the spiritually dead, convicts sinners and leads them to repentance and faith in Christ. Upon conversion, the Spirit ushers believers into the Kingdom of God, dwelling within them and securing them until the return of Christ. The Holy Spirit sanctifies, empowers, teaches, and guides believers into all truth. Additionally, He grants spiritual gifts for the building up of the church as it glorifies God through worship, testimony, and service.

#6 On the Creation of Humanity
We believe that God created humanity, uniquely male and female each with distinct gifts, tendencies and callings, in His image and likeness as the pinnacle of His creation. Every individual, fashioned by the hand of the Creator, holds inherent dignity, spiritual equality, and the capacity to cultivate relationships that mirror the unity found within the Triune God.

#7 On Sin
We believe sin is disobeying God's commands or living outside of God's design. Initially created in the image of God to enjoy eternal communion and flourishing under His loving rule, our first ancestors, Adam and Eve, tragically rebelled against God's commands, succumbing to temptation from Satan and willfully disobeying their Creator. This initial disobedience shattered God’s intended order, plunging humanity into spiritual darkness. As a result, all people inherit a corrupted nature, becoming alienated from God and subject to His righteous judgment. Humanity remains enslaved under sin's dominion, separated from the Giver of life. Without God's gracious intervention, everyone is corrupted by sin and incapable of restoring the broken relationship with their Creator. In this dire situation, no one can rescue themselves from sin's condemnation.

#8 On Salvation
In response to our sinful condition, the ultimate need of all people is the undeserved love of God. Salvation is His gracious and unearned gift, accomplished through Jesus Christ's sacrificial death alone. Only by God's grace, through faith in Christ, are those who repent and believe transformed by the Spirit, declared righteous, adopted as God's children, and assured of eternal life as His heirs—restored to communion with God and empowered to flourish for His glory once again.

#9 On the Church
The Church is the spiritual Body of Christ, consisting of all believers who have been regenerated throughout history and across the globe. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, believers are baptized into union with Christ and with one another, forming God's unified household and eternal family. While celebrating our spiritual connection with all believers, Christ instructs His followers to demonstrate their discipleship by committing to local congregations. These visible expressions of the Church gather to worship the Triune God, engage in biblical teaching, partake in the ordinances of baptism and communion, mutually build up, support, and serve one another, and are sent on a mission to share the Gospel with the world.

#10 On the Return of Christ
We believe in the personal and imminent return of Jesus Christ to earth. At His Second Coming, the deceased believers will be resurrected, and all humanity will stand before His judgment seat. Those who rejected God's grace will be separated from him in hell, where they will face eternal condemnation and punishment. Conversely, those redeemed in Christ will receive glorified bodies and enjoy eternal communion with the Triune God in the new heavens and new earth. They will worship and reign with Him in perfect peace and unending joy.
