Tyler Wendell

Originally from South Dakota, Tyler has been blessed with a wonderful family: Tyler and his wife have been married since 2013, and together they have three amazing kids. Professionally, Tyler has spent nearly a decade as a software engineer and currently works at a cybersecurity company.   

He is deeply passionate about sharing the gospel and witnessing the Spirit’s work through preaching and teaching. As a former unbeliever and adult convert, he feels the weight and urgency of God’s work through evangelism. It’s an honor to be part of a congregation that embodies the love of Christ so well. Shelter is truly a family—hospitable, caring, and deeply committed to supporting and challenging one another in faith.  

When he's not busy with work or family, Tyler enjoys spending time outdoors and is always eager to learn something new or develop a new skill.
