Shelter Students

Shelter Students is our middle through high school gathering. It is our goal for students to be pointed to Jesus, foster genuine community, dive deep into scripture together, and know that they are valued and cared for. Students meet twice a month during service and the other weeks, they are in service and/or serving.

We are so excited that you chose to join us! Stop by the info table where someone will be able to steer you to the cafeteria where students first gather.

What To Expect

At Shelter Students, we want students to be rooted in God’s Word, grounded in community, and sent to serve others as they grow in their faith and follow Jesus. Each gathering begins with fellowship and donuts. Students then serve the school we meet in by packing Backpack Buddies bags, helping provide weekend meals for children in need. Students then dive into a sermon-based discussion led by a background-checked and trained leader, helping them understand and apply God’s Word to their lives. To encourage continued growth throughout the week, students are also provided with Daily Discipleship Guides from The Gospel Project to use at home.

More Ways to Get Connected

More Ways to Get Connected

Shelter Students is about more than our weekly gatherings! Students have opportunities to serve our church family in meaningful ways, such as serving in Shelter Kids and our AV ministry, or serving on the Worship Team. Throughout the year, students also gather for quarterly events that build friendships and create opportunities for fun outside of regular meetings. From bowling and trampoline parks to parties and seasonal activities like pumpkin carving, these events help students grow in community and deepen their relationships with one another.
